ok well I wanna change the BOV on my Talon when I get it and I am having a hard time deciding between the RFL or a Tial. I want the loudest I can get basically. Let me know what one is beat or if you got one for sale let me know what you got.

The 1g bov works fine, leave it.

I'm assuming tein = tial, in which case you cant run either bov because both vent to the atmosphere. The rfl is a poor design IMO and tends to bind up unless you keep it will lubed, the tial is overkill for 90% of dsm'ers. If you dont like the 1g bov look into a greddy type s and recirc it.

well if you want the loudest then you want the RFL but i would get the H-34 so you could recirculate and its pretty much as loud .... and tein does not make blow off valves they make suspension parts so i think you ment tial

Ya I meant Tial, my bad.

Turnuptheboost: I can get one NEw off eBay for 120, I am looking for the adaptor tho.

I want the RFL I think I dont really want a recirc, I'm not building this car for performance since it's an auto, I just want something that is good looking and noisy.

BTW i also want it to run mid to high 14's ;)

dude to vent your gonna have to get a blowthrough setup. and with the cost of a really loud bov you can basicaly get an intake or an uicp or a test pipe. much better sound/performance than your car going ppssshhhhh then dying at the stop light if you don't have a blowthrough setup.

I have the RFL and I'm going to be changing it out for two reasons...

A) It's way too ricey....Sure it's cool scaring pedestrians and other drivers but amongst the performance based people I hang out it get's bad looks.
B) I had to adjust my idle cause it does jack with your airflow....

I'd suggest against it but if you are set on either of the two I'd say RFL. It's fun....and crazy loud.

It recirculates and is as loud? I would really like to keep performance but I want something that is really loud.

Your car wont make it that far the way your going.

Do a search on recirculating...adn there are pleny of this BOV versus this one.

i have the h 34 reciculated and yes it is very loud. people are awlays asking me what bov i have and if its vented. Just make sure you lube the piston before putting it in.
I had the same and yes its loud even recirculated. Until i switched to Apexi.

the greddys and HKS SSQV are plenty loud, (espically the HKS) and both have the option to be recirculated so you can vent after you get the approprate setup and recirc until that time comes. RFL is not my favorite, neither is the tial, which I have, but I am not going to go there yet. I say HKS nice and loud, does not leak, recirs for a few extra dollars. down side to it, research by a popular magazine say its slow reacting, compared to my tial its not, and the source nipple can break easily, and is SMALL, so you you usually need to adapt from one size vacuum hose to another. Plus the method HKS used to attach the BOV to the UICP blows, after dicking with the C clip for every you will understand.
