i already had the safc in and runs great with it, however installing the fcd means cutting into the same wire for the safc, and it runs like crap now, also no matter how the settings are with the fcd the red led is on meaning its blocking fuel cut, anybody seen this, id really like to get over 20lbs but damn that fuel cut!

Pull out the FCD and modify the barometric pressure signal according to the VFAQ. Basically make the car think you're at a higher altitude (less dense air) and you'll get rid of fuel cut and have money from selling the FCD.

how much boost have you seen run with this setup,,,also, anybody have good luck with the fcd to stay on that subject

22 isnt enough for me, im looking for 26, yes i have pistons, gasket, cams, ect, well the last part is on the way, bt to to the guy that recommended the vfaq i havnt seen that on there, and have been all over it, where is it and how much boost gain?

You should be able to run 26 psi on race gas. I was talking about 22psi on pump

yea, i can get 108 at the pump where i live but im talking about eliminating the fuel cut, im doing a build and on 92 want the ability to hit 26lbs,,i would go higher but im on higher 8.5 to 1 comp pistons verse the 7.8

You can accomplish the same thing as the FCD, by leaning out the SAFC.

Or, just get bigger injectors, and lower the airflow signal more.

Or get a chip to remove fuel cut from the ECU.

leaning out will still hit cut, may have my hands on an eprom unit now so that would solve all my problems, if hnot i still gotta get this fuel cut to stop somehow

I can't find it anymore, I swear it was on there. Basically you just solder a resistor in the barometric pressure sensor wire. I don't rembember what value to use though. It's been a long time since I used a 1G mas.

Thats essentially how all fuel cut "defencers" work. They change the airflow signal (lower) to dodge fuel cut, which occurs when your airflow signal reaches a certain maximum.

The ONLY way to eliminate fuel cut is by removing it from the ECU programming, or by switching to some sort of engine management that doesnt have it.

The easiest way to DELAY fuel cut is by having larger injectors and something like an AFC. By doing this, you will need to lower your airflow signal to make your upgraded injectors fire like stock under normal conditions. Lowering that airflow signal = delayed fuel cut.
