Turbo to Intercooler housing

Hi,

I currently have a doubt regarding the size of the housing that goes from the Turbo to the Intercooler, this pipe in my car has the same size as the turbo exit 2 1/4" so I have built a 2 1/4" pipe and then the intercooler have a 2 1/2" all the way to a 65mm Throttle Body.

The guy who's building my car told me that a 2 1/4" pipe will speed up the air to the intercooler and then only in the intercooler and after must have that diameter of 2 1/2".

I was just wonder is this correct or should I change all the way for 2 1/2"?

I'm running a GT35R, does anyone have the same setup which housing is used?

he is correct that the smaller diameter will have a higher velocity, but if I had the setup you do, I would definitely go 2.5"

i think a 2.25 before the intercooler and a 2.5 after is fine... i dont think youll notice anything going from one to another...

Actually what I'm most worried about is if that diameter 2.25" can be restrictive for the air in the turbo exit.

If this is true I'll definitely will go 2.5".

Can anyone be sure about that?
