Hey guys im still a noob pretty much so i was wondering....currently i have a big16g on my car and it obviously has the j pipe. If i wanted to upgrade to a 50 trim or 60-1 would i have to change my whole exhaust set up and everything?? Also, if i ahd to how much do you think it would cost? Is it even worth it or should i just port out an evoIII 16g so i can keep the j pipe? Thanks

An upgrade to a 50 trim from a b16g is significant. An upgrade to an Evo16g from a b16g is not...

Your J-pipe is on the compressor housing, and is part of the intercooling piping. So, your exhaust will not need to be modified at all. Your existing intercooler piping should also be able to be used for a 50 trim with minimal (if any) modification. As long as you're sure to buy a 50 trim that uses the stock exhuast manifold, you'll be fine for basically a direct swap.

Sell your b16g with the Jpipe, and put that money toward a 50 trim. Just make sure you have the supporting mods to run it correctly
