i went on machv.com and was goin to order the turbo, a evo III 16G it would have come out to $983 with the porting, upgraded wastegate flapper and install kit, does that sound about right? the install kit alone is $299. just seeing if its a good price or not, thanks

You should also check the classifieds section, sometimes there's people selling the whole thing(turbo install kit, etc).

Slowboy has there EVO III for $570 without the install kit or $999 with install kit and a new manifold.

Wow! Thats the most expensive 16G I have heard of. Before I got my 50 trim I bought my 16G w. upgraded flapper and it was ported for 500. Install kit was an additional 125.

Check with Turbochargers.com as they sell the Evo 16g the cheapest around. That'll knock quite a bit off the price. And they can set you up with all the goodies that MachV has for cheaper.

Right there, you're choice of any of the 16gs, GT manifold, and 2g install kit for $699 shipped.

100% agree.. Turbochargers.com is by far the best $$$ I know of right now!!:dsm: break it down!! $400 for the Mits Evo 16g, $149 for the Evo manifold, studs, and gasket & $150 for the complete 2g install kit! Thats just a stupid deal.. No where comes close to that

Low price doesn't equal quality. I have heard of more horror stories from turbochargers.com than any other turbo supplier. I have never, on the other hand, heard anything bad about FP.

What kinda horror stories? An Evo 16g from Turbochargers.com is the same exact Evo 16g as you get from say Buschur, or ExtremePSI or whoever, TC.com probably just buys them in ridiculous quantities to be able to sell them for the price they sell them at. Now you might find fault in the GT manifold that's included. The guy who started this thread didn't ask for a manifold (tht I remember), I was just showing him that TC.com could cobble together what Mach V was going to sell him for close to $1000, for much much cheaper.

I would try looking localy or online. I found a guy selling a Big 16g for $250, with only 3000 miles on it. It also was fully ported and had larger wastegate. You can find good deals with used stuff
