My 90 Talon, just started to blow a little puff of oil smoke (blue) from the tail pipe. Here's the symptoms, anyone got a guess if this is the turbo or a piston ring leak?
Starts good, hot or cold, small wisps of blue from exhaust. accelerate from a standstill and cloud of blueish smoke then nothing as you accelerate onto boost very small trace of smoke to nothing. As you let off boost and coast, nothing for a little bit until you either go back on throttle (cloud of smoke, then nothing) or come to stop and nothing for about 30 secs then small wisps of smoke which clear again as you accelerate.
Going out to pull plugs, but was wondering if this is the oil supply to the turbo or oil leaking past piston rings. Going to do a compression test this week end and see what I get.
Anyone had similar problems before?
Thanks for the replies.
