turbo oil and coolant questions

Is it posable to fab up a stand alone oil system for a turbo. the reason I ask is because I am helping a friend wit a NA turbo project ad it would be easier. woulnt it make the turbo run cooler than the hot engine oil if I put a cooler in the pluming or is the whole Idea shit.

Actually it can work!
If you have a strong pump that will reproduce the oil pressure of an engine like 40 PSI for example so that the turbo of choice (which the turbo determines the psi) has the proper oil pressure!
supplies you would need!
Resivour, oil, supply pump, drain catch can, drain pump, power to the pumps, hoses and fittings!
I would ask 1 question?
Why not use one of the oil sending units that is plugged and run a drain line back to the pan?

It seems like it would keep the turbo oil cleaner and cooler than the engine oil. and you can try out different weights of oil.

But as stated above, you could fab up something, although I doubt it would be easier. I guess whatever floats your boat. As for oil temps, just hook it up with a 90 style oil cooler setup, that's about the best way to deal with the oil temp. It is like you said, the oil will run cooler and that will help (a little) with temps in your engine overall. So that is always good.

Yes it would keep the oil much cooler and keep it from hot shut down issues!
It would also allow for the oil to be used longer but you would have to keep an eye on it!
