Medicine Hat,
okay i just recently got my 98 eclipse GST and it had a blitz bov and a injen intake installed by the previous owner now the blitz bov is definatly being vented.. and i know this is not a good thing but i guess there is a way around it with some GM mas now i have no clue what that means or is so what all would i need to be able to vent my BOV and please try to avoid using abreaviations other than BOV and what the aproximate cost would be to do this i really want to vent to the atmosphere but i dont want to be running rich...

also i was wondering what all i would need to turn up the boost to around 14psi on the stock t25 (i believe thats the stock turbo) and what this would put me at(1/4 mi) with a properly vented BOV and injen intake plus the supporting mods (i take it i would need a boost controler at least and mabey a a/f controler or is this not needed for this amount of boost? please say whatever im missing also i want to be able to go between stock and 14psi pretty quickly without having to get out of my car so can any1 recomend a good boost controler..

thanks for whatever help you may be able to give...

iv read that post many times and i didnt really ask how i could vent my blitz valve back into the intake i asked what mods i need to do so i can vent it to the atmospere without running rich when it goes off... but thanks anyway

hmm iv read that post before to but it really doesnt tell you how to vent correctly other than to get the GM MAFT but what the hell is that and what is all needed iv searched iv read all the threads that are out there so please stop linking to links iv read a thousand times already...

....don't vent, its a kinda annoying sound, just recirculate the air and be a kind person to the people's ears next to you

If that thread doesn't clear it up.... take your car to a shop.

okay i think i understand now what is needed now correct me if im wrong i need to buy a Gm 3" maf and some new uicp that will fit that and a new intake because the stock one has the stock maf attached to it... now i still have 2 questions where does the translator come in and what part does it play? also i have a aftermarket injen intake and would like to keep it so could i keep the stock maf but just not hook it up or is it a neccesity that i get 1 piece intake? also will any 3" GM maf work or does it have to be off a certain car? but that post was the most helpful yet

The MAFT or translator is what converts the GM Airflow sensor signal into something your DSM ECU will accept.

so i take it i must buy this part? and where would i find it iv found the piping for 179 and a gm mas for 60 but havent found any of these translators yet and also what do i do about my intake?

recirculate it.

Just because the previous owner threw some parts on your car doesn't mean you need to keep them. It the mods listed in the first post are all you have, sell them and buy some parts that will actually help your car.

heh i know the easy thing to do would to just recirculate it but i like the parts he put on and i definatly want to vent... but i want to do it right i mean the car runs just fine the way it is vented and all but i would still feel better if i knew i was doing it right... plus it would cost me just as much to reciculate it because its the blitz and whoever installed it installed it facing back so and welded up the intake return...

u have to get a upper intercooler pipe,(perhaps a dejontool one) so you can stick the GM MAS
between the two pipes. Anyways, its not that bad to vent to the air....
