:dsm: I just found out today that my Turbo is leaking oil. I was wondering if this is a good time to start moding. I have a 91 Eclipse GSX w/new motor that has no mods done to it at all. What is the best way to go when it comes time that i need to replace my turbo??? Suggestions and Comments are GREATLY APPRECIATED. I LOVE MY DSM!!!!! Thanks Guys! :dsm: :thumb:

I need this car to be my everyday driven in WI but i want more power without sacrificing dependibilty... :dsm:

Thats such a wide open question...So you are saying that your not wanting an all out track car? You do know that the 14b is an excellent little turbo for what it is. 12s are not hard to get with it in an awd car. Just a thought. Plus what your asking all depends on how much you want to spend. Modding will find weak spots in your car. So if you plan on upgrading you better have to funds to back it up. Thats just the world of DSMs..

DSM = Dont Start Modding...LOL I for one should know. I have two headaches..jp I love them :D

so where do u suggest getting a new turbo either way i need a new turbo eventually and possibly get it ported and polished, i would like to get smic piping any ideas which ones? a BOV and turbo back exhaust, turbo timer, and that is probably about as far as i want to go. that won't be that bad i don't think.? :dsm: Where to get good parts in the Madison, WI area is the big question....

would u suggest new oil piping, gaskets?? anything else, and what are these oil return lines that everyone is talkin about?? aren't they there or are the others jst an upgrade thing? i'm confused

that is what my "trusted" mechanic told me. thats why it blows the black smoke when i get on it really hard from what he said, he also told me tht it leaks oil where the oil filter assembly goes into the block.
