Alright so this is going to seem like a pretty amateur question but I'd like an answer if at all possible.
I'm fairly early into my first DSM build and although it's quite the goal for a DSM beginner I'm aiming for high elevens. I've spoken with a few people and it seems that something like the FP HTA3582r is a winning choice. I've heard things about positive streetability performance and very high potential. The worry is that I just purchased this intercooler kit. VR Speed Factory - EVO, DSM & WRX Performance Parts - VRSF Front Mount Intercooler Kit : 95 - 99 Eclipse & Talon Turbo I'm wondering if it is all possible for this intercooler to..
1. Handle the power that this will put out at around 30 PSI.
2. Route up to the turbo with minimal modifications.
I don't know which way the turbo would face so I'm not sure if just a J-Pipe would do me or if I'd need to get a few more pipes and maybe invest some time in cutting and such. My father is a professional fabricator so he could whip up something if needed. But that'd be completely pointless if the core doesn't have the cooling capacity to handle the turbo in which case I'd invest in a better core.
Now keep in mind that this is tentative build. I'm still very early and was considering the intercooler the first of my many upgrades. I of course plan to get DSMLink V3 when it comes out, injectors, fuel pump, and everything else I need to support a big turbo before I upgrade from my T25.
Any advice/help/constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
