Turbo identification, serial number destroyed

i come to a real problem. the serial number on my td05h is ground of :ohdamn:

i have the first 49178-0 and thats it. does anyone know any other way to determine what my turbo is i was told it was a e316g by the previous owner that im now doubting

If that thing doesn't have any in/out play right now, it sure did at one point in it's life. Major compressor wheel and cover damage.

The only way you could fix the existing cover is to have it machined larger to get the grooves out, then you'd need a 20G wheel. At that point the turbine housing (6cm) will be way undersized.

You're correct in assuming the cost to fix this thing the right way would be excessive. Your best financial choices are to either run it as-is, or PM me if you're interested in selling it for parts to get out from underneath it.
