Ok my friend just gave me .50 trim to use while I rebuild my big 16g. I'm confused on the lines I'm not sure if there's a coolant hook up on it or not there's only one set of feed an return lines. Can someone help me out.

Doesn't appear to be and coolant cooled isn't needed At all period. Just don't drive like an ass a few min before shutting off and you will be fine against oil coking.

I personally shut off right away when I arrive at my destination because I don't drive hard before ariving. Took the turbo apart after many thousand miles and no coking at all. This was on a HX40.

awesome thank you guys for your help. I wont be driving hard I'm only using a 14psi spring instead of my 20. Also the engine is a brand new an a turbo timer, so hoping not to blow anything.

If you are breaking in the motor I wouldn't use a turbo timer to have it idle. That's more wear at idle and less time to seat the rings with the proper positive and negative flow pulling the rings into the walls.

Hard break-in is better than a soft/easy one.

I didn't mean the turbo timer was going on now, I have to find a harness for it an them have time to pull the dash apart I'm barely making time to try an finish the engine It's been out since October,

Honestly, it's a waste of money unless you are a delivery driver that is in a need to rush around.

You'll cool your turbo down more cruising easy on the highway with the airflow cooling everything down than you will just sitting still for 1-3 minutes heating up the motor. We don't have a diesel motor which cools down at idle.

I know a lot of people swear by a turbo timer but as stated it's not needed. Your call if you really want it or not. I'm sure if you wanted to get rid of it, it will get picked up on the classifieds quickly.

Oil cooled turbos do need that extra cool down as I was describing but water cooled can usually be shut off hot without too much issues until years down the road.

well I drive about 5 mins to work mostly. But I can idle for about three mins on my own with out cutting an splicing wires

Are you boosting the whole 5 min on your way there? If not, just drive normal out of boost for the last min or so and just shut err off. You'll be fine without needing to idle.

Honestly I drive it like an na most the time I rarely ever get in boost unless high way driving or first/second gear

In my shoes, I would be just shutting it off without any second thoughts. If you really want to idle and/or install a TT, then do it, it's your car. I'm just giving you some food for thought.
