will 450 injectors and stock fuel pump from turbo model talon hold up with a 16g? or WILL i have to upgrade to 550 injectors and possibly a 255 pump, and other goodies im sure i am unaware of..

Thanks

i'm running stock injectors with a stock fuel pump and a ported 16g with a lot of other exhaust mods (check my profile)

i'm boosting 12-14lbs no problem
if you want any more thats when you have to start upgrading you fuel system

450s should be fine but you should get a 3" exhaust ( cat or turbo back ) and a upgraded air intake first. and if you want to upgrade your pump and injectors get a 190 with 550cc's you don't really need a 255 for a 16g. also once your get a 16g you should think about getting a wideband and dsmlink for higher boost

If you actually want to see gains in performance, upgrade the fuel system. If you already have the turbo and can't afford the fuel mods and tuning then you'll be fine at stock boost levels with the 16g, just don't expect it to pushed anywhere close to it's limit.

You can run a 16g (or any turbo for that matter) with 450 injectors if you keep air-fuel ratio and timing resonable. What that level is will be different for every car, but you'll need a wideband O2, some way of monitoring knock and a way to tune (ECMLink, SAFC, etc). At the very least, you should rewire your fuel pump.

Be careful with a 3" exhaust, the 16g is known to creep when using a large, free-flowing exhaust. My Evo3 16G creeps to 22 PSI, but I have the necessary fuel mods to deal with this (650 injectors and meth injection). With the small 450 injectors, and no other way of adding the necessary fuel to compensate, you could run dangerously lean, possibly damaging your motor.

Is this a N/T veichle, seems either no one has said, since that was your prolfile or i missed it somewhere. The advice we are giving you will be greatly differen't if you are not running a 4g63. If you are not 450's will be plenty as far as the amount of boost you can run on those stock internals safely.

If you are running the 4g63 you will need

Evo 3 with everything else stock, will be fine up to 14 psi.
15 psi- do fuel pump rewire-should start thinking about at least an intake and full 2.5 exhaust with high flow cat or none.
16- likely need a 190 pump, and every set up varies but likely reaching the point of larger injectors in which case you will need an safc2, and either pay for dyno tune, or a wideband and logger to do yourself. This is also an area where you will start see some real gains from other mods including fmic, 2g exhaust mani(preferably ported), 2g or evo 3 O2 housing. I also would not suggest 550cc injectors for two reasons. If you ever want more the turbo actually is capable of needing larger injectors, so later you will need bigger if you push the 16g. I would suggest 650cc, but then especially if you are on the newer side of mechanical skill tunning will be more difficult to compensate for timing. I would suggest evo 8 injectors they are actually denso 560cc and unlike the 550cc which will 99 percent of the time flow more like 525-535 the denso's typically will flow 560cc or slightly more and can be bought for the used for cheaper than a new set of rc 550's.

19-20psi-best off with 255hpl or similar variation with afpr. I would go this route since it leaves room for later mods. ###### time to get full 3 inch exhaust and a variety of other mods.

If you give exact goals we can be more help
