Turbo cooler?

just wanted to know if anyone has done this or what they think of it


near the valve cover there is the oil pipe that goes into the turbo, just wanted to know what if i hooked up that pipe to a cooler then then run it into the turbo?

well that help my turbo keep cool or there is no point of doing this?
or should i just run it stock like the 90 talons? (oil filter housing)

Is this stock? If so your turbo is water cooled. I would not alter the oil feed in anyway.

90 DSMs run oil feed stock from the head not the oil filter housings. There are arguements about feeding from the oil filter housings with the oil pressure it provides. Some say yes, some no.
I wouldn't add another cooler because you may loose oil pressure and it would just add to the possiblities of more oil leaks. Anyone else?

my friend has a JDM 4G63 in his 2G and he just recently hooked up a 90 external oil cooler and it works fine

I thought he was asking if he could add an additional cooler to the stock set up?

k as of now i have no cooler (car is in the shop) and just wanted to know if i can just run a cooler off the turbo and not the oil housing

Its sounds like you want to cool the oil before it goes into the turbo. Waste of time. I've never heard, seen or read about it. As for external oil coolers, yes 90 style housings have ports for a cooler.
