Tuning Problem HELP!!!

Hey Im new to these forums and i have a question hopefully you can help i dont have a laptop and my alternator died so dsm link shut down so i have to get new alternator and tune it but anyways TUNNING!! I downloaded dsm link i dont have lap top so i connect it directly to my home pc i know it stupid but it should work. I was looking at the menu and went to rpms to try to raise it see if it would work and it didn't. I was wondering if you guys could possible help me out with tunning this ####ing thing this is what i got into so far

My friend said something about setting fuel injectors right and shit all i want to run for now is 20 psi I had it at 18 but i know it can do like 22 with out blowing my head gasket well it would do 24 but i dont want to risk it until i rebluid can anyone help me give me run down on dsm link and tunning

Ok go to the dsmlink site and download the manual and read it... You need to slow down ... If you can somehow connect your car to your home pc and get it conect you can make adjustments.. Also changing the rpm won't automatically make it change.. If you have other problems it won't just go up or down. try to find someone around you that knows and has dsmlink..

Okay Thanks man i just don't know some one told me that there's thing you need to set into the fuel injectors in dsm like ..... dead time???? i have no ####ing clue people confuse me is this right?

There are two basic injector parameters for your injectors, the global correction % and the deadtime correction.

Since you have PTE 880 injectors the global would be something like -46% and 330uS deadtime. (those are from page 17 of the DSMLink user guide)

Since you don't mention which air metering device your using I'll assume it's a stock 2G MAF. If so then changing the global and deadtime should be all you need to do and upload into your ECU to start the car and have it run pretty much like stock.

You'll need some sort of portable computer to do any tuning unless you have lots of extension cords. Borrow one or look around for a cheap one, it doesn't have to be fast just needs a good battery, a DB9 serial port or you'll need a USB adaptor to connect to the datalogging cable.

I don't believe AEM makes a MAF.
You have either the stock 2G MAF, an GM MAF and translator, a 3G/EVO MAF, or are running speed density and don't have any MAF. Not very common anymore, but I guess an old school car could have a VPC rather than a MAF.
