I need to get my 96 gst safely tuned.
My ecu is not flashable (unless i have an eprom that random 96 ecu's come with), and an evo 8 ecu cannot be installed in a 96. I cannot afford buying link.

A local shop set me up with this
SAFC
WB AFR
Tune
-all for $630 (didnt do it yet, just an option).

Any advice?
Im currently trying not to boost, not until it is safely tuned.

Just buy ecmlink. It's logger and software and a bunch of cool stuff you can pretty much fully control your ecu and what stuff does and also the logging can see if its running safe and good.

Lots of threads on which tuning devices, i heard safc, wideband ecu flash, i run link. Like i said there is a lot of information on this i saw a few a while ago.

You would be better off buying link then settling for a safc+tune. Unless there's some reason you absolutely NEED a tune to cause the car to run right or something. If its just performance reasons though just buy link, you wont regret it.

You won't be able to log with safc.Sure you can shoot for a a/f ration of 11:1 but is it safe setup?Only a logger will be able to tell you ecmlink all in one and it has many cool features.
