I've been reading a little here and there and most articles feature a key phrase of "calibration" but doesn't say anything about how to. The main article I'm reading now is http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/general-info.443300/ and I'm curious if there is literally a book or full fledge article on tuning the 4g63 via ecmlink. I have a lot of reading to do!

Have you checked out the ECMlink website? There are numerous articles/tutorials along with videos to help you get started. There is even a forum for additional support as well.

Calibration is essentially getting all of the pieces setup properly - making sure your fuel injector numbers are correct, making sure your airflow reading is correct, making sure your logged wideband value is correct, etc. You really aren't doing any tuning, but more setting yourself up to tune. So if your wideband value deviates from your AFRatioEst (AFR value that the ECU wants to see), spend some more time tuning your airflow or adjusting your injector settings to make sure you get them as close to 0% deviation as possible. As the article says, it can be a very time consuming process to get everything as close to perfect as possible. Make sure to go through the car before you even start using the program and verifying all of the things listed in this article.

There's a ton of info on how to do this in different places across this forum, the ECMTuning forums, and the ECMlink wiki, but not all in one book/article since there are so many combinations of parts that someone could have installed. So do some research on your specific parts to find the best info.
