im going to do a tune up and was wondering what all involed besides sparkplugs and wires
what sparkplug are better and the wires. i thouht about the bosh platium 4. so besides the spark plugs and the wires what else do i replace. and what brands are better.

go with NGK Plugs, MSD 8.5mm wires.

If you have a cai or short ram intake, go ahead and change the air filter if it is dirty. Umm basic maintance i can think of oil change, and what is mentioned above.

any type of ngk plugs and where can i get the msd 8.5 mm wires just thought what about fuel filter. and a tranny fluid change.

yes those are other two things. Change your fuel filter as it can become a problem and your tranny fluid as well. GM Synchromesh works well i beleive.

Umm well depends, brk6's are stock range 7 would be one range colder and 5 one range warmer.

You can get MSD wires at a performace shop, i beleive that advance auto, pep boys etc can order them for you, they are 8.5mm whereas stockers are 7mm. Since i changed i gained about 30 miles to every tank, plus it idle'd alot smoother

ill try the ngk plugs since i all i use anyways and get ahold of some msd wires. would needing a tune cause the car when you shut it off shudder alittle.

The car shudders????? Umm thats a prob LOL

Check all your fluids to make sure they are all level. They plugs & wires would be noticable at idle imo. The wires, for me, gave me a smoother idle (was smooth already). What do you mean by shudders?

yeah it seems that when i shut the car off. well it shudders not a smooth off its smooth till the very end just alittle not alot it idels really smooth but i checked my fiance 95 talon it does it too not alot so maybe thats how they are

ohh that shudder :p LOL that happens to me, altho i have never looked into it. Its not notciable shudder, and it only happens when you don't let the car idle for a sec before you shut it off which is always :D

Sometimes overlooked, and can be a problem, but easy to fix if you track it there first. What you may ask? Vacume Lines! Always ck for old cracked vacume lines.

The other item I almost always do whenever I buy a used car, is replace the coolant hoses. They are sometimes a pain to change, but once you do, then you know what you have. Plan on doing all your heater and other small hoses too. Remember, a busted hose is a show stopper!! LOL. :laser:
