you're right, I could see how much liquid was being sucked in (you'll see in my pics) and within a few seconds could tell just where to hold the tube to get just enough without stalling.

btw, the vacuum reducer was a dollar, no biggie haha. I'm waiting my 10 minutes right now. It scared me for a minute, I must have a little exhaust leak below my header because smoke started coming up from under the motor. But then I noticed it was smoking out the exhaust already so I figured it was normal.

Haha, couldn't find a small vacuum hose laying around, so I used straws. It worked just fine.

success. chugged a little when I first started it up again so I revved it up, sounded like a wrx/sti for a few seconds. LOL then i filled the street leaving my apartment with a cloud of gray smoke, good stuff.

Just don't dip the end of the tube too far into the can.

Heh, never thought of that. I just use a rubber tube, stick it in, and squeeze.

Good stuff. I am assuming you drove it around a bit. Notice any difference? I haven't used it on my Eclipse, (no need) but have used it on a couple other vehicles. Did amazing things to a '74 350 with almost 400,000 miles on it.

Locke, to tell you the truth I *think* I can tell a difference, but who knows it may just be my mind saying "wow, that sure helped a lot!" Know what I mean? Anyway, my motor only has about 13-14k on it, so I'm sure I had nowhere near the buildup as your 400k 350, LOL that's quite a few miles.

II know what you mean. I didn't realize you had a fresh engine. At least you know it's guts are blingin' again.

thank you so much for the pics... i might do this tuesday. i never did seafoam so i appricate the pics alot.

i do have a question for you though. does it suck up the whole amount? does it shut off after sucking it in? race it like hell after waiting 15 mins?

well, my can had 16 oz of seafoam. I poured out 6-8 oz into a cup to use and saved the rest, so no you don't use it all. Another thing, if you use the PCV, it will want to suck up a lot of seafoam real fast if you just dip the whole tube into the cup. And that will stall the motor, so just be patient and let it suck up the whole contents of the cup slowly without stalling. Then let it sit for 15 or 20 minutes. Then start it up, rev it up if it's chugging, and go out for a drive to clear everything out. You will be able to tell when you've driven enough by the smoke and the smell.
