Ok guys, since we are starting from scratch I'm posting a new thread with updated information with sheduling included

Starting this week we will meet up on Friday and/or saturday .
The meets will take place at either I-10 & Kino at the In-n-Out or Park Place Mall depending on the week, the meeting this Friday will be at In-n-Out 7pm. :hellyeah:

If you guys run into any other DSMs in town go ahead and invite them to join us and join the forums...

My friend, this sounds like a great idea. I will be making the drive up from Sierra Vista. Is it just going to be a lot of sitting around drooling over DSMs or what?

Last week it ended up just being stone and myself checking out each others cars and talking about what we wanted to do to them.

yea not bad tho we gotta start out sumwhere right it will grow lil by lil.im on my phone internet if i can get out of work in time ill roll again i swaped my plugs to the champions and it made a big difference car sounds and picks up better

i was suprised we didnt see any highway patrol, on our wayz home,LOL when i was gonna throw up a peace sign my arm flew back all crazy the ride was so smooth didnt feel like i was going that fast

Yes, most things have humble beginnings. I can remember how things were at Fort Hood as we always had units deployed, training to deploy, or just getting back from a deployment. The scene grew fast though. I really hate being nearly 90-minutes away. If I were there, I would certainly network and push the word out. There is really no DSM scene here in Sierra Vista. There are a few here and there roughly no more than 10. But there are a few EVOs as well as a good compliment of Subaru fellahs. I would be interested in going on rides and whatnot as well as getting together to hit the track just for the sheer fun of it. I know there are some autocross events up there as well as here in Sierra Vista once a month. Basically, with a little effort, I believe that we can really get things rolling but we must remain consistent. The hit-or-miss technique pushes fellahs away.

Meeting up tonight at park place mall if anyones interested.

Trying to get this thing rolling, sierra vista guys, come join the fun!

My friend, I was in Phoenix the entire Spring Break. Sorry I missed it. Was there a nice turn out?

There were 3 cars last week, this week I hear we should have a total of ~8 cars give or take, we have some rotory guys coming to join the meets, thisfriday 7 pm park place mall west lot, you'll know which lot at first glance, its the open one.

It sounds like things are off to a good start. I am not partial to having only DSMs to attend as I am a fan of any car that is fast and put together with good parts. Maybe we should throw around a few ideas other than sitting around in parking lots drooling over open hoods and talking about what we are going to do in the next build phase. I am not saying that is bad but we should branch out just a tad. I will start spreading the word around here in Sierra Vista as I know a few guys with EVOs, Subies, Hondas, etc.

I am a former Army officer and we did things to ensure that there are multiple ways to communicate. Maybe we should pass cell phone numbers out or something.

Mine is available to anyone that asks, 832-588-0519, names Michael

I am starting up a racing team and the meet is going to double over as a team get together as well...
We planned on going places once we get enough guys showing up to the meet, Mt. Lemon, phenoix, sierra vista, etc...

I like how this sounds as long as we are mature about things. It would be a terrible thing for someone to get into trouble with team "x" icons plastered all over their car. :nono:

Hey guys I am new to Tucson and I moved from Show Low Az which is about almost 4 hours away. I am almost done with my car to where I can meet up with you guys in my 90 AWD. I am looking forward to meeting more DSM guys down here is southern AZ. I should be done with my Talon within a month so I am definitely down to meet up and have a new face and car if you guys are down? thanks! -patrick

The more the merrier, your welcome to come out in whatever you got until you get your DSM up. We kinda turned it into a import meet

Sounds good to me. I enjoy seeing other cars and stuff and I will ask some guys with a Supra if he wants to go! I will look forward to seeing all the cars around here! My car is almost done so I will post when I am ready to roll out there with it! Thanks!

I am the same way, that's why I started the meets in tucson back up, anyone can come but if they start acting stupid they will be asked to leave, I would rather not have the local authorities thinking it another meet for the illegal racers...

I am totally with you on that one!! We do not want to be thought of as illegal racers cause then we wont ever getta meet any other drivers and it will be boring again. Do you guys ever go out to SIR?

SIR? Not been there, what is it?

Give me a text so I can contact you with meet info in case things ever change, and/or confirm meet times and who's showing

SIR is short for Southwest International Raceway out here in Tucson, the Drag Races are held there from time to time. I am not sure of the exact dates and what not. I will hit you up with a PM with my cell number.

Meet update.

We have moved the meets to Saturday due to it working better for all the guys that have been out so far.
Saturdays at 8pm in the Park Place Mall west overflow lot.

I will be going to SIR about 1-2 a month when my 1GB is finished.

Saturday works fine. Are guys opposed to meeting slightly earlier in the day? I was thinking about 6PM. By the way, 97Demon, I sent you an email in reference to Facebook.

Got the email, we might be able to hold the meet a little earlier, but a couple of the guys don't get off work till 9.

Tucson area meets have been moved!

We now meet at the In-n-Out on the NE corner of Kolb & Broadway at 9pm Saturday nights. This meet happens every week.
