in my gallery pictures there is a shot of my car where ya can see my exhaust, its not the best picture for what ya need but it does have a slight angle to it, might help the garage out some. Its an Apexi N1 design, so should be what you are looking for.

Yeah a tilt like that would be perfect, maybe even a little more of a tilt for me cause I have that exhaust indentation cause it's an eclipse, but the apexi came out of the box just like that? No fabrications?

All the Tsudo N1 I've seen including mine, stick straight out at no angle.
I guess I will NEVER understand why every one these days wants crooked exhaust????
To each his own, but I don't think any come out at an angle.
Or at least not real "Tsudo", because companies make "Copies" of cheaper brands too.

maybe its the fact that mine has always been at an angle and its grown on me, but i personally like it. Think it gives it a hint of uniqueness.

But yeah, it was out of the box like that as far as i know (had a friend install it for me) I thought that most N1s (apexi and N1 knockoffs) are normally angled slightly. I also think the angle makes looks the cut outs look better. Talons also have cut outs, although i never noticed it till i saw my g/f's car. The guy we got the car from cut the muffler off, and it makes the cut out look ugly. But the angle muffler cleans it up nicely, least from my observations, if i get sometime soon I'll take better pics for ya.

Everytime one of my friends says something about a 15.3 i yell at them "I HAD 2 MISFIRES!!"
long story short i recommend you get a spring set for your cams. But all my mods are in my profile. The 15.3 was ran before i had the spring/retainer set and before the P&P of my head, hoping to hit 14.5ish next dsm/evo shootout. Hitting decent number on these 420a's are a fun challenge though.

I was in the same boat when i got mine. I can't stand the straight out look haha. So i cut off the muffler, and got some piping and played around with it for hours to get the look I wanted and finally got it how I want it. So later on this week I'm going to a muffler shop to run a pipe underneath the rear crossmember sorta like a gsx, or other cars :D

I know the angle on some exhaust setups is on a angle for the AWD because of the rear axle clearances.

Thats the only ones I have seen that way and I avoided that style personally with my AWD catback purchase.

The Tsudo exhaust I had on my esi stuck straight out. Didn't bother me any as I thought it was nice that way. IMO most of the "crooked" exhaust are mostly fabbed and are a tell tell sign of a ricer 90% of the time here in chicago. Besides...a crooked exhaust doesn't make more hp then a straight one.

Yeah I can't stand the straight out exhaust look it's annoying to me, and I know the "crooked" exhaust look doesn't create more hp but it looks more sick lookin like an evo/Sti exhaust, a straight out pointing look here in jersey ususally happens on hondas and that's rice over here

i bought a 3 inch and it does have an angle to it.

The reason that some have an angle is because they pass under the rear "axle". Anything that passes over the rear "axle" (FWD cars don't have a rear axle, but you know what I mean.) like the stock piping will look straight. Generally the reason for under axle style piping is because there isn't enough room for a full 3" pipe when it goes over the axle. The gas tank gets in the way.
