Like many budge tuners I'm looking at getting a downpipe and catback combo from tsudo. I have a 95 GS-T and i was wondering about flange sizes. From what Ive read and researched the downpipe starts at 2.5 to bolt up to the stock o2 housing then after the flex sections goes up to 3 but does the flange stay at 3 or does it neck down to 2.5 for some reason or does it stay 3inch since its a cat elim? As for the Catback does it start out at 2.5 to fit the stock cat or does it start at 3inch as well? I'm hoping to order both and have it just bolt up at the o2 housing and then have everything be smooth the whole way back at 3". now..input?

You'll have a neck-down to 2.25" on both Tsudo pipes where they meet. They're made to bolt up to the stock exhaust. I had to cut off the neck-down on my Tsudo Fireball cat-back and weld on a 3" flange so it would mate with my RRE 3" down pipe and high flow cat. I've had the Tsudo for about two years and I'd buy another. Great quality construction and it still looks perfect (except for my flange welding job ;) ).

I don't know bout the Tsudo dp but the Megan dp only necks down to like 2.75 inches and the tsudo catback necked down to 2.5 but it still bolted up for me. I asked my exhaust guy and he said he could fix it all for 25$ because it was a quick weld job. But for now it is working just fine for me. I will buy from Megan and Tsudo again and again :thumb:

When I measure the hole in the Tsudo neck down flange it's exactly 2 3/8". Subtract from that the thickness of the pipe and welds I got a hair over 2 1/4" opening. I don't have the Tsudo DP but I would imagine they would use the same flange. I welded a 3" flange on the neck down I cut off in case I have to re-install the stock cat for emissions.

ahhh so an easy fix would be to take both pieces and go to an exhaust shop and ask them to hack off where they begin to bottle neck and weld on a 3inch section with a 3" flange and bolt them together? or just hack off the 2.25" flange and put on two 3" flanges.

i have a megan racing dp hooked to a tsudo 3in cat back exhuast on my 97 gst. matched up perfectly and easily. took old exhaust off and put new one on within an hour. :D
