Do any of you 2g guys have a Tsudo N1 catback? I just installed mine and it's not completely what I expected. It's supposed to be an exact replica of the Apexi N1, but doesn't the Apexi angle up and outward a little? I was hoping for that angle-tip style and for the muffler to aim slightly upward. But my Tsudo comes straight out, and it even aims down a little. The fact that the tip side of the muffler is lower than the back side is pretty disappointing, I don't like how that looks.

Anyway please let me know if you have a Tsudo N1 and how it hangs on your car. Or if you have the real Apexi and how does that hang? Thanks.

Is this the angle you are talking about? This is a HKS Carbon-Ti exhaust. I have seen dual Apex'i N1 mufflers on a 240sx, and they were both angled out and up.

kind of. here's a pic of an Apexi N1, notice the angle to the left and how the muffler aims slightly upward as well. i don't have a pic of my exhaust yet but just visualize this picture except with the tip coming straight out the back and pointing downward (vertically, a mirror image of this one).

Thats how that HKS and the dual N1s look. I believe the Megan exhaust muffler sits like those as well, I would just bet the muffler from any of those and have it tilted to the angle you want, or have a local shop cut the tsudo one, and re-weld it with the proper angle that you want.

I have the Tsudo exhaust. I was never a fan of the huge round exhaust but it kind of grows on you. I cut a bevel in the tip to match the line of the bumper.

wow man i love how you painted your center tail light. very original. and looks cool with the.. sorry don't know the correct term but head-rest roll bars LOL. and from the pic it looks like your muffler/tip are more like the real Apexi N1s...

i'll go take some pics of mine and then we can compare and see if mine really is the odd one out, or what..

I believe Rons is like yours but since he cut the tip at an angle it gives it the illusion that its angled up.

sorry, it's dark here already. but here's a pic of my Tsudo exhaust.

and dustin you might have a good point there.

Edit: yes it is bolted tightly to all hangers. and Ron, could you take a picture of your from the side so i can see how you cut it?

Well I think this would be generally where he cut it, I made a triangle around the area to remove, but lets wait for a pic from him to make sure. when you cut it I recommend sanding the edge that just got cut a bit, so its a little"softer" of an edge.

I don't think I cut that much of an angle. And, I believe mine sticks out a bit more. I'll snap a pic tomorrow.

I saw that nice tip at the GMU meet. Can you do that to my Tsudo exhaust? :D

on a side note since dave(?) mentioned it, when is the GMU meet? annual? march?

back home i live 20 minutes away in lake ridge. I've always wanted to go but i didn't hear about it till i was in college and i'm usually down here at virginia tech when it happens. this year i'd like to come home for it though.

I always thought the Apexi N1 came out straight, i know the HKS Hi-power comes out on an angle because i used to have it, but all the Apexi N1's ive seen come out straight with no angle or angled tip.

I have the Tsudo N1 style and mine angles up and out just slightly. Actually tommorow i am going to an exhaust shop to see how much for them to cut the pipe and reweld it at angle. The reason the Tsudo N1 doesnt angle as much is because the pipe goes over top of the rear axle, The HKS Carbon Ti angles so much because the piping runs underneath the axel. Just do what i am doing and have a shop cut the pipe and reweld it and reroute it underneath the axel at the angle you like.
