Trying to spot a Chirp location (audio)

So, the other day I put some coolant and I stupidly forgot to put the cap back on the radiator. Luckily, as I was driving, I spotted it and replaced it before it overheated. The temp gauge(sp?) was at regular temp and it never went above or anything. However, coolant did squirt out and I was hoping it squirted onto a belt and it's just a noise from it slipping or something.


Anyway, where do you think it's from? 2G 420A, stock.

Also, it's a m4a file; sorry, came from my phone. Pretty much from 00:12 to the end, that chirp. Water pump belt maybe?? Or worse than I imagined

I dont think your file uploaded. But if you think its your belts, any auto store sells belt conditioner in a can. Just spray it on. DO NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE. Wash everything out first too just to see if that works.

I wouldn't put anything on it... certainly nothing that says "belt dressing." Perhaps you could just rinse the belts with water; water gets on them all the time. The underside of your car isn't sealed, after all.

Chances are, the belt (or belts) is just loose and the coolant just made you notice the problem. Identify which one is the making the noise (most likely the PS/AC belt) and tighten it.

+1 to spraying the belt area down with JUST WATER
That will most likely fix your problem.

If the coolant got on it, shouldn't it have dried up by now? I only drove it to school which is 8 mins away and I can still hear it today. :\

hmm....it went away today on my way back from school but i haven't checked again. It's probably a belt because they tighten/loosen depending on the temperature.
