I'm not sure if this is the correct spot for this thread but its aimed toward guys in the drag circuit and its about my drag set-up if it needs to be moved i will be more than happy to.

Back story:

I recently came across a JDM n/a 2g 7 bolt complete engine, said to have under 30k miles. You may ask, "Why even mess with that crap?" A:Because racecar B: Because i got the whole thing for 50 dollars from a friend who bought it for a 1g and later realized he cant use it for a 1g because of the mounts.
Upon purchase of this motor it looked terrible. My friend that I Bought it from had a fire in the front half of his shop then the city bull dozed the whole building down and scooped this motor up, that wasn't anywhere near where the fire was, and nearly berried it under ash and wreckage. but for 50 dollars I thought it would be interesting to pull it apart and see if anything was usable.
I sprayed it with degreaser, let it sit for a while, then washed it off and it looked damn near brand new again. The motor came with everything, alt., power steering pump, ac pump, n/t exhaust manifold, intake manifold w/ a really strange throttle body that i cant use. Almost all that stuff was pretty much destroyed from the bulldozer. After I stripped it down to bare block and head I could see that no damage was done, externally, to the block/head. I take the Head off and its the cleanest head i ever seen pulled off a motor. I knew it would be a higher compression motor, being N/A, but as my friend was taking a look at it he said that it had to be over 10:1 compression, maybe 10.5, because the pistons were dome top, which neither of us had ever seen before in a stock 4g63. Even the higher compression 1g 6bolt N/a motors are still dished pistons. After a little research on the interweb, I found that there was a JDM 2g 7bolt N/A motor made with 10.4:1 compression rated for 170bhp. So, until i get the motor put together to do a compression test, this is what I'm going to assume I have.

The dilemma:

When i bought this, the idea was to slowly build this motor with forged internals because I plan to blow my current stock block all to hell this summer at some point. However now that i found i have a stock block with abnormally high compression, i was thinking of maybe taking off the Holset and going for a stock block/stock turbo record.
Now the question at hand is, do you think using this method to beat a record, assuming I can, would piss some people off? I realize it could be seen as a bit of a loop hole or cheater method and I dont want to be seen as, "that guy", or a kind of, "winner by default", type of thing.
Also, Feel free to give me ideas of why this could be a bad idea, I'm all for constructive criticism.
My current mods are up to date on my profile. I think I have the mods to get a record beat on say a 14b/stock block, or maybe take a harder challenge and go for a 16g/stock block record.:hmm:
Give me some advice guys!

That would be so sick if you could beat the record with a stock block. I would probably go with a 16g if i was you
