Well currently looking for a 1g AWD car, but need to decide on what route to take before I take the step into purchasing the car. Originally I was going to build a 2.3L stroker motor but since this car is going to share the duties as mostly a drag car and see some street action I was reading that the 2.0L motor might be best for what my plans are.
I'm a bit skeptical about just throwing a big turbo and supporting mods on a 1g car with a hefty load of miles and trying to run 20+psi. I was originally going to run a gt35r on the car if I went with the stroker motor but now I'm a bit worried about spool time if I stick with the 2.0L motor. So my question to you is what would you guys do if you were me?
1. Get a running car, get an FP3052 or similar, fuel mods, and all other supporting mods and just hope the stock block and head holds up.
2. Get a shell, build a stroker motor, with built block and built head courtesy of SBR and go with the gt35r
3. Get a shell, build a 2.0L motor, with built block and built head and go with the fP3052 or something similar.
This is going to be a work in progress so in no rush to do anything. My goals are to make a pretty nasty drag car, want to run around 25psi eventually at around 500hp. Looking for low 11 second timeslips, and would absolutely love to pull a 10.99. I've been around here long enough to know that there's no simple recipe to pull 11 and 10 second timeslips. Just looking for a few suggestions to steer me in the right way.
