Im trying to figure out what turbo woudl be best for me, i will be running FMIC, 8.6 compression with forged rods, and my fuel system will be based on what turbo i purchase. I cant go crazy with this turbo as far as price. this will be a daily driven street car. And im looking for HP around 275-300, over 300 would be great if feasible, cause i know 300 may be pushing it. i have doen research and am still stuck as far as what turbo to get. I am open to suggestions. Mounting flange on the manifold doesnt matter because i am fabbing my own manifold. Thanks for the help.

boost is another thing, i have searched and asked and havent gotten anytype of answer on how much boost i should be able to run with that setup. i also have and upgraded coil and wires forgot to mention that.

also anyone used turbo calculator, they have some new and some remanufactured turbos for incredibly cheap.

How much boost do you want to run to get 300hp
I think any Garrett or Turbonitics t3/t4 50, 57, or 60 trim @ about 15 psi would be good enough
if you wnat ball bearings it's up to you
try

I think the Holset HX35 or 40 would be one of the BEST choices for the price

Good choice, I would like to see the comparison of compressor maps against the GT series. Too bad you have to email them

I recommend GT series, but they cost a pretty penny

i think im leaning towards this turbo, good price and sounds like a good turbo for me and my goals, what you guys think?

Holset will not release any of there compressor map's they are very hush hush with those sort of thing's
if you e-mail them Dave will send you some pic's of the compressor wheel and turbing wheel compared side by side to a Garrett GT wheel

the holset in my mind is one of the Best turbo's out there

one AWD @ 20psi layed down 550awhp with the HX40 it's on that site if you want to see it
