trouble with fuel injectors! no start

Its a 1990 tsi. The original injectors were the blue top....i received black top ones from injector warehouse.com. after the install the car wont start. Sometimes it does but then shuts off right away. Could the black top ones be my issue? Thanks to anyone.

Injectors need to had writen 450 on it near plug or take a multimeter and check if it have 2ohms.

I would make sure the part number Matches up with what you were suppose to get. check your fuel pressure and that everything is connected correctly.

Remember that some 450 are black top

When i ordered them they said they were for a 90' and were 450's. The part numbers are different though. Is that my issue? The tips in the black ones are longer than the blue ones.

i wouldnt think so what psi are you getting to the injectors. if not do a test to make sure your getting enough fuel. not sure what stock psi on fuel test though. any help? and your spark is ok i had this same thing happen then die out.

That is most likely your issue, running too much fuel will bog down you engine. Try throwing the blue top's back in and see if it runs alright.

I think its 40psi. I have no tool to check untill tomorow. Whats the difference from blue and black top since there both applied for a 90'?

Blue top are 1g single pintel cap injectors; black top are 2g double pintel cap injectors. iirc

just for now i would pull a spark plug one at a time and see if it is wet with fuel. just till tomorrow if you get a tester for the fuel.

I ended up putting the old blue ones back in. Runs fine. The black top ones must not work for a 90' talon.

Make sure that the new injectors are sealed properly. One of them not seated right will cause it to barely run.

If the injectors are used its also possible that they need to be cleaned, and while you're doing that you can see what the actual flow values are on the injectors to know if they are correct for your setup or not.
