Trouble viewing datalogs on laptop

I just got a datalogger. (www.pocketlogger.com) i downloaded the plviewer for my laptop as well as java and it won't open plviewer. It appears as a microsoft outlook configuration file and asks what i want to use to open it. I tryed opening it with java, but i couldn't seem to have any luck. I was hoping someone had a similar problem or new how to fix this.

i am having a similar problem with my laptop, i downloaded all the software needed...but my palm just wont hotsync with the laptop. how do you have yours connected to your computer, through a serial port? i'm hoping that once i get past this i'll finally be able to read the logs on my laptop.
