1G Trouble Code 42 Help!

My newly acquired 1g Eclipse is giving me the Trouble Code 42. I've browsed the couple of code 42 posts before making this, but I believe my situation is a little different. When I cold start my car the cel will come on for about 10 mins until the car achieves optimum running temperature and then the cel will shut off. If the car is already warm the cel will come on but turn off about 30 secs after. It seems to depend on how warm the car is (I could be wrong though). Other than that, the car runs fine. If I am blasting the AC I might get a brief idle surge or 2 at a stop light but other than that it seems to be running perfect. No trouble starting the car at all. Any help would be appreciated!

I would check fuel pressure, clean up fuel pump connector, check wires, then unhook battery let it reset and see what happens
