Alrighty, my new daily drive eclipse is having a grind when i switch from 3rd to 4th. It only does it when im mashing so its not that sever, but im getting grind in second on cold mornings as well. any recomendations on a good shop? How much do you think it will cost.

Um, id go ahead and change your fluid first, and see if the grind goes away. search the forums and figure out which fluid works best. Some people swear by synchromesh or synchromax, i forget which one it is. I use redline MTL or MT90 in my trans per instructions from TRE.

i've got bg synchroshift in mine. damn that stuff is expensive though. also i've heard that the honda mtl works good too. doesnt break down as easily.

and as for a shop, you can't go wrong with either shep or tre.

anyways i actually changed my fluid to redline MT90 and it still grinds.

I have a 90 trans with a fresh rebuild low low miles in my parts car. If you or anyone else needs a good 90 trans I will part with it just PM me.

so it has a 22spline output shaft?

I can only assume that because the t/c is still on the trans. Infact it is all still in the car. But it is easy to change the shaft if you need a 23.
