i just got my car running finally and here are my issues and what i did. i rebuilt the motor and added an act clutch, an oem TOB. I put a headwasher behind the fork ball bolt like the transmission shops suggest. I can manually get into all the gears and drive the car fine. when i push the clutch in all the way, i hear a noise. At my shifter, i cant get into reverse. I can get into 1st 2nd 3rd 4th. ill work on it tomorrow and see what else i can find out that its doing. I aligned the shifter at the base and it seemed to help. I dont know if the tranmission is good, a traded an engine block for the tranmission. The act clutch is brand new. the Throwout bearing is used, but i flushed it and re-greased it. I did the same to one of my friends tob and 10k miles and its still going, but not on an act clutch.

Well first the tob i would spend the 40 bucks for a new one, had one fail bad time. Plus i never used a washer on it, i have a act threw it in just like stock, and no probs i also had a rebuilt trans.

i would have bought a new tob if i could afford it, but its not the tob that is causing the issues unless it has to be an act tob. im about to take the transmission apart and go threw it and see what i can find out, but i really think its the clutch making noise when i push the pedal all the way to the floor. i read that thepresure plate can hit the clutch disk.

RESOLVED! I replaced the bracket on the transmission that shifts gears and found it to be too long. when i put the correct one in it shifts in all the gears. After that I added some washers in front of the slave cylinder and now the pressure plate doesnt hit the clutch disk anymore.
