Transmission Failure

I think my trans may be going out (auto trans) but honestly I'm not sure. My car isnt shifting as smooth as it used to and when my car shifts from 1 - 2 its really jerky. Also my trans dipstick is diffucult to read so i have no idea how much A/T fluid is in there. What are some signs that my trans is going out and how much is a rebuild gonna ROUGHLY cost?

Best way to tell is do a tranny flush. I think a rebuild might cost between 500-1000

where is the drain plug located on the trans?
