transfer case stuck how do i get it out

i think the out put shaft came out with the transfer case
can it do this and how do i fix it / take it out?

yes it can do that, theres a little ball in there that holds that in place and it may have came out, or someone was in the tranny and didnt put it back in/in right. Try taking some vise grips with a rag on them and push the shaft back in and tap the case with a mallet while holding the shaft in place with the vise grips. This happened to me on my 90 and it eventually came out, i just had to work with it for awhile
 
no problem man :thumb: dnhieu, im not sure if it would mess anything up, i guess theres always a chance of the shaft moving a little and chewing on things but i dont know for sure, its not TOO difficult to open the case up and find the ball
 
BTW i found it easer when i got a long bolt and placed the bolt against the vise grip and hit the bolt came out faster
