Transfer case output shaft removal

I'm trying to pull the output shaft out of the transfer case.....this is the one the driveshaft goes on. I took off the big nut at the base of the shaft and it still doesn't seem to budge. Any help on what i'm missing here?? I don't see anything else I can remove to get this off.

Its the shaft coming out of the top right piece.

The nut is very tight. Once you get it off it will all come apart.

The big nut is already removed. Nothing moves still.
