Whats going on guys. I just got finished with a build on my car at which point the transmission had to have new fluid put in it. I opted for Penzoil Synchromesh simply because that is what I had used before. The transmission is 135k miles old and is bone stock. After around 500 miles of fairly heavy abuse over this past month my transmission has been making a very loud whining while in 2nd and 4th gear, but mostly 4th. The other day while pulling out of my parking spot the transmission locked up while rollin in first and its locked in gear also. I started dropping the transmission today and the first thing I did was drain the oil. What I found was kind of confusing. My 500 mile old transmission fluid is extremely discolored. Its a very dark brownish/grey. Anybody have any idea what would cause this? My only thought is that its gotten extremely hot. Thats all I can think of.
Disregard the light yellow mixture in the container. My drain pan has had a few other fluids in it. Haha
