Ok I just recently finished up my talon this weekend and decided to take her out for a little spin. I finally get to crank my car after about 4 months, I let it idle for a while and warm up then pull the auto trans out of park into drive and it has a delay?? Anyone have any suggestion, I changed the fluid and filter about 3 weeks ago, fluid level is correct with brand new fluid. I hope I dont need a rebuild :banghead::banghead:

It shifts pretty good and as for the delay I dont really know how long few seconds I guess. The only thing that has me worried is that I dont remember it happening before I parked it. Ill just drive it for awhile and see what happens.

Watch it for a while and pay specific attention to overdrive. For me when I had issues with a delay before the car went into gear it was an issue with end clutches which cost about $90 and take half an hour to replace without the need to drop the transmission.

FWIW in my opinion every automatic transmission DSM should have both the revised end clutches and the Translab shift kit applied to them. It becomes even more important on modified cars. You may not want to spend the $200 on them but spending that money WILL save you from changing a transmission some time down the line and will give you a faster car anyways.
