A/T Tranny Acting up!! Need any ideas!

Okay I got my car out of the shop Oct. 5th. I had them put in a list of product.
1.Evo III turbo 16g
2.SBR Exhaust Manifold
3.Evo III o2 housing
4.RRE Downpipe w/no catback
5.650cc injestors
6.255 Walbro & Fuel Pump Rewire Kit
7.IE FPR-SS kit for DSM Aero Installation
8.IE Fuel Feed & filter upgrade Kit
9.JR Front monut IC w/3" GM MAF & Translator
10.MSD 8mm wires & NGK spark plugs
11.Dejon straight inatke pipe w/K&N filter
12.S-AFC II
13.Power enterpise timing belt & new balance, a/c, alt belt.
14.Royal purple oil change & radiator flush

This is the list I had them put into the car. When I went to go pick it up they told me that I was pushing way to much fuel & that I had a lot of lag. An that they tried to lean it out the best they could without it choking in idle. They told me to place back my 450cc injector. That it would be best. Well They warned me about overheated. Which it did. So I cut out holes on my bumper and did the forest mod to my hood. It worked out.

Now until the issue with my tranny. I took my car to work which is about a 45min drive. Everything was fine until it happen. I was going about 70mph on cruise control. Then My RPm's just dropped the car wouldn't push. I gave it a little gas and it would go a little then yank back. I got down to around 40mph on the highway. An it felt like my tranny locked up on me. So I pulled over pop the hood. I saw a little bit of smoke coming out of the Tranny dipstick.

I had a wrecker come pick up my car to take to a local race shop. I had them change the tranny fluid & Filter. I get a call back saying that the car wont push when it's in drive. It will a little bit, but not much at all. Then they shift it in 2nd instead of Drive. An that it works fine. They said that it might be the torque conventer, but that they weren't really sure.

So I'm going to go pick it up today. Just wondering if anyone knew or might have a idea what might be wrong with my tranny. Once again the issue is It won't move when it's in drive at all mostly. But when it's placed in 2nd it works fine.

Okay was not able to pick up my car today due to bad weather. I ask on the phone again if they could run by the issue with me again. They said that the car runs perfect on "L", "I", but it will hardly even move at all in "D". So anyone have a clue what it might be?

there is most likely something wrong with the case or a drum and band. tranny needs to come out and taken apart.
