i have a 92 talon tsi awd 5 spd tranny and the syncros are shot in it but i think the gears are still ok. can i just replace the syncros or is it too difficult or just better to get another tranny?

I too would like to know where I can get the synchros for my tranny. I'm gonna hopefully be dropping it out within 2 weeks.

Get ready to do this, its gonna take some time. Getting parts from a dealership alone took more than 2 months because it turned out my car has a tranny with 92 and 93 year parts in it. I had to order all 93 parts and return the ones that werent right and orger the 92 model ones. Lots of time, startign this last November and the trans is just ready to go in now! Goodluck, the assembly itself isnt that bad just takes a LOT of time.

When you say "my dealership" you jsut refer to a mitsubishi dealer? or what about when you have a talon. can you go to a mitsubishi dealer or would u go to a chrysler dealer?
