Tranny Questions

okay so i got a few questions on tranny swap. I did a search and found only one person who put a 1g tranny into a 2g eclipse.

I know the tranny on the 2g holds 3 motor mounts and the 1g has it mounted the block.

1. can I swap out the bell housing from the 2g tranny to the 1g to hold the motor mounts?

2. if that don't work can I still make the 1g tranny work in a 2g by using the 1g 7bolt block too?

no it is not for me but a friend needs a tranny and all i have is the 1g tranny. I did not want to offer it to him unless it will work

no,that doesnt sound like a good idea, he will be missing a mount..a bad idea.

im not sure if the internals will swap out

Its a big big pain to do, the 7-bolt 1G block will not help btw.
