tps difference for turbo and nt

Okay getting the tps cel!! Went to autozone to get a new one but when I got home they weren't even close to the same!! Come to find out my tps looks like one off of a non turbo. So my question for you guys is how does a 90 turbo harness look? is there a plug on the tps and on the firewall or is there only one plug to the tps? Because my harness looks stock.

I didn't know that there was any difference in the TPS within the same model year between a turbo and non-turbo 2.0L. There is a difference between 90 and 91-94 TPS. The 90 ones a smaller and have a pigtail, where the 91-94 version connector is part of the sensor body.

Did Autozone give you a 91-94 one where you needed the 90?

when autozone brings up the pics of them they gave me the right one but the non turbo looks like the one I have! I can't figure it out I will try to get pics later The one I have is hard wired to the sensor then connects on the fire-wall the one they gave me the plug is on the sensor it's self.

still haven't decided if it is autozone or not but yea they do piss you off quite a bit. The only good thing is $20 back after 5 trips

Never heard of that one... I usually stick to Advanced Auto Parts, since it's closest to my house, but if you have a real problem their employees know very little.

The dealership is all we have around here and it's not worth what they'll charge you for most things. A headlight there costs over $400.00 for one!!
