Torque Plate Rental?

Hi,

Though this is my first post, I've been lurking around this forum for a while doing my best to gather info as I work on my GVR4. That said, I just dropped off my block at a local reputable machine shop and had a nice discussion with the machinist about honing with a torque plate. I understand that opinions on the necessity of torque plates vary, but I'd like to do my best to build the engine properly. That brings me to post this.

Does anyone have a torque plate that they are willing to rent? I'm happy to pay shipping, and understanding that you don't know me, I'll gladly pay a deposit. It would be great if someone local had one! I live in Richmond, IN and am willing to drive a couple of hours.

Thanks for the link, but I am not really interested in buying one. I've thought about it, but I doubt that I'll use one often enough to make it worth the cost.

You would only get the $400 core back when you return the torque plate.
