Anyone think this is too Ricey?

19" Rims in the Rear
17" Rims in the Front...

Lowered 2in in the Front
Lowered 1-1.5" in the Rear

My Old CRX has 16in Rims in the rear, 13in Rims in the front, and I always liked that aggressor look, most Muscle cars have that, bigger in the rear, smaller in the front.

My Eclipse GS is already lowered 2in all around, and sitting on 17in rims.

I like the bubblish/plain/basic look in the front, and aggressive lookin the rear.

I was thinkin of going with the Sensai front, and Blitz Rear.

Opinions???...sound too ricey???

oh...or 17in in the front or 18in the rear...
you get the general idea....LOL

Ive never seen it done with a DSM but on some cars it looks great. Like you mentioned old muscle cars have that style to them, also a newer car that has it that stands out to me is the Cross Fire. I love the looks of that car.

Only thing that might look funny is that the wheel wells are pretty much even with each other, so you might have more gap up front vs the rear. It might look a little funny.

GS + lowered 2 inches with super large rims in the back + body kit = ricey

The reason why those cars have the big and little tires is because they are rear wheel drive and they put the fattest tire in the back for traction and a smaller tire in the front for less resistance. Since your car is fwd it would be dumb to do the same so to answer your question yes it would be to Ricey if thats the word you would want to use for that.

Yeah, the muscle cars don't do that just for shits and giggles. You know, people actually do things for function... so if you wanna do it for function... but the bigger rims on the front, then take lots of pictures and post them up here... please.

If it was a show car and just for looks, then hey it would be ok.But like mostly everyone said, form has to follow function and since your fwd, that wouldn't be the case, therefor yes it would be ricey, specially with that kit thrown in the mix.

A 4" difference from front to back?! WTF (guessing this was your friend from earlier) I think the offset sizes look really good on mercedes and lambo's and shit we cant afford. I've never seen it on a DSM but i could only imagine.... +1 for rice. Keep it clean, 17's or 18's with a set of coilovers will give anything a mean looking stance

I love it when people respond to RICE questions...LoL...

it was just a thought I thew out there...It would cost too much to get seperate rims...LOL
I might go with 4x18in Konig Unknown, and just raise my end .5+1in.

Eclipse already got a slight slant, I think 1/2" high in the rear will look nice. I dont know, if I dont like it, I can just drop it back down to the full 2in.

Thanx for the "reminder" LOL.

This one just so happens to be FWD so i guess its possible. You were asking about "Rice" My definition of what some may call "Rice" would be something done to your car which would not benifit your car in any other way than for visuals. now i'm not saying everything you do on that path is Rice that would say window tint is as well. Yet thats as basic as you can get with it. I would not go with the wheel combo you asked about. it would not help out at all.

Kool...I'm not building a race car...its all show.

I like this sleek black stealthish look.
"Low Profile" type...

Sensei Front, Blitz Side/Rear.
All Black, with Dark Azz Tintz.
Chrome/Black Rimz.

It'll look REALLY good. Thanx for the advice guyz...saved another disasters LOL

Other than muscle cars and traction, alot of mini truckers roll with like 22's in the rear and 19's up front so they can still actually turn the vehicle..even with the wheel wells tubbed they can still rub,Not very noticable though, when the top third of the wheel is up in the body.

Anything other than all around even fender well gap on an Eclipse looks goofy, don't raise the back either unless you're covering for a dead body in the hatch, haha.

That would be the single most riciest mod I would ever see done to an Eclipse. A GS of course

Notice how he posted in the Appearance section.....I would ask for a photoshop first and then decide. If your going the show route then go for it, most people on here disagree with show cars and body kits and such. But you asked there opinion and thats what you got. Do what you want with your car, because it is YOURS and it represents your style.
