got a maunal boost controller. here is the way vac line are first off intake, then a tee for boost gauge, then blow off valve, then too boost controller, then hose from boost controller to actuator. i get boost levels of 25psi instant. what do i do?

Try simplifying your setup. Do you have a pressure source coming off of the compressor housing? If so, hook that into the MBC and then MBC to actuator. It is recommended to also run a dedicated line from the intake to the BOV to ensure proper operation of that important valve. Then source your boost gauge from a tee-fitting inserted in the fuel pressure solenoid vac line. Lastly, re-check your MBC installation.

Ok, maybe it is not a real simplification, but it does isolate the systems so you can figure out which one is not working correctly.

no vac source from turbo. so in other word the mbc and bov should be on differrent vac lines. could i use the j pipe for mbc?

The boost gauge should be tapped from somewhere after the throttle plate that sees boost and vacuum. From the description it sounds like the gauge is Td from your BOV source. I'd use a different source for the gauge (do a forum search and you'll find some threads on this). The boost controller and wastegate actuator shouldn't be from the same source as the boost gauge or BOV. They should be tapped from a boost only source before the throttle plate. As far as the 25psi instantly . . . I have no idea. Is it a stock turbo? What year? What kind of boost controller? What kind of gauge? If it's a 2g with a T25 there should be a boost source right on the turbo compressor housing for the boost controller and wastegate. If it's a 1g with a 14b (assuming it's stock) there should be a boost source on the compressor outlet pipe.

Yeah, BOV and MBC should be kept independent when hooking up vac lines.

Definitely, the j-pipe would work as good if not better than the compressor housing.

I run mine that way with no problems. A single line runs from my intake to my bov. I tapped into that line with a T and that is sent mo my home made ball and spring mbc. I could not control my boost when i had a bleeder style. That could be the problem. I have no problems with that set-up. I have 0 surge.

Good info. Make sure your setup follows these guidelines.

If you're using your factory IC piping there should be a boost source on the compressor outlet pipe specifically for the wastegate.
