Well I have to do another boost leak because my car doesnt feel like its pulling like it was. I also found out the guy before me had done the head and the engine looks fairly new. I wish they would have told me. Well heres my question. I want to know what the possible symptons for my car running not as good as it is could be while:

no smoke comes out exhaust

no oil on ground

oil loss (think is due to head needing to be retorqued or recent fix of oil line which was leaking only under boost
Also found oil under the valve cover but cant tell where it was coming from. No longer there and hasnt come back in months once we tightened the bolts a little. (didnt crack valve cover dont worry)

175-178 compression across the board

Will do boost leak again today and post results.

Also id like to add that im running my mbc the old way where the BOV doesnt have its own line. Ill fix this soon. Just wondering if this would affect anything?

Please be a bit more descriptive about "car not running as good as it should be"

LOL. Sorry. When i first got the E316g and put it in it was pulling much harder at the same psi that it is at now. It feels like its not pulling as hard. Also i have an SAFC and datalogger but have not tuned it yet since i am still on stock injectors and fuel pump. (running low boost-10-12) Im just trying to find out all the possible things it could be affecting it so i can check every one of them. Also i was wondering if the way i have my mbc connected (-WG-MBC-BOV-Intake Manifold/ONE LINE) would affect it at all?

hmm the way ive always been told and the way i have the lines ran on my car is-wastegate- MBC-boost source(such as the upper intercooler pipe) and the bov should just be ran to the intake mani, but maybe im wrong

Maybe you've just gotten used to how much harder it pulls? Do you have any real numbers that say it's slower, or are you just going by the seat-of-your-pants feel?

Seat of my pants...but u can definitley tell..its like a lag at higher rpms kinda like how automatics kick in again when u go WOT.

And as for the way the mbc is hooked up...i dont know.

The correct way is BOV-IM and MBC-WG-Jpipe
