Well Im Finally putting my Car Back together after 2yrs of sitting, After Installing struts which are Toc 5way adjustable and the Intrax springs, it just looks too low to install 17 wheels on 225 tires.
Maybe the air cooling hole I found in the strut tower under the motor mount will help clearance , thank god we have a body shop.

What air cooling hole? You should be fine with 17's on that car. Just do the correct tire size
whenever you go bigger in rim size to compensate. Nothing a baseball bat and pliers couldn't fix.

That looks like a really nice drop there. You will be fine with 17's, just remember to compensate for tires, like was just mentioned.

I'm assuming the cooling hole is strut tower rust... and I would get that fixed immediately.

Air cooling Hole is the Rust Hole in the strut tower under the motor Mount. Im so ticked off about it but I will have out body shop look at it Monday.

Front struts towers, along with the rear hatch, are known places for rust on 2Gs. Regardless of whether you fix this area, this might be the best argument for STBs I've seen in a long time. ;)

As suggested above, 225/45/17 with a +45 offset or 235/45/17 with a +42 offset will be fine. If you're in the mood for serious rear fender-lip rolling, 245/40/17 on a +40 offset.

Well Im not going to roll fenders and Im sticking to 17x7 with +42mm offset.
I just hope my checking account holds up ! to all these repairs
