i mean honestly it all depends on all sorts of things...if they are really cheap tires then yes it will most likely happen often..if y ou are doing 60 plus around a 30 mph corner then likely it may happen...if its just everyday driving then no it shouldnt...but if cheap tires and i mean really cheap tires are on the car it will....sciroccosven said:The answer to your question is no, they shouldnt squeel, no its not normal, but there could be numerous simple factors creating this problem.
Ask yourself if it's normal to drive around in a tight circle at 10mph or less...Deadly BlaZe said:well, i had one situation where i was driving around in a really tight circle accelerating in first gear around 10 or less mph. and the tires were chirping but not screaching. normal?

Anyways,
It's abnormal for the tires to chirp unless your taking a very tight turn at very high speeds or your just trying to make the tires chirp, one of the two.
Thank you
John
p.s. HI SEAN!
In my opinion it's going to depend on a few things which one is going to be the type of tires your using actually. Since the "grip" on the tires would be a factor if your going to get the tires to chirp or not in a circular driving pattern. Me personally I wouldn't take an awd car and just drive in a circle at 10mph over and over #1 it just dosen't sound normal and #2... well... it would be straining half of the drivetrain actually.Deadly BlaZe said:so then it is normal for tires to chirp on an awd in that situation?
Gotcha.Deadly BlaZe said:it was in my car
i thought i made a wrong turn by accident somewhere and had to turn around again after i realized i was going the right way so yeah that's how i ended up going in a tight circle. but my tires did chirp a little so i don't know. my tires don't peel out at all if i launch it though.

No it's fine and that's normal.
See, type all that in the beginning and this woulda went a whole lot faster.

I def. slide in the winter sometimes and i have slide in the rain. This isn't to say that they don't provide better traction and other great purposes. I mean i wish i could take turns and stuff as well as my buddy with his damn EVO and my other buddy with his STI but that won't happen.
Yes, awds can and will chirp their tires.
