tire size on 16" 97 GST stock rims

i got the stock 16" rims with 205/55/16. would i be able to fit 225/55/16 with the stock height. if not what would be the widest tire i would be able to fit on the stock rims.

225-50-16 225 is the width......55 is the aspect ration...basicly the height of the sidewall from the rim....without any mods....you must lower the height to get a 225 in the wheel well....225 50 16 will work but will be expensive.....I recomend to go with an 18inch wheel and 225-40-18 tires....sumitumo HTRZIII cheap but effective
