Ok my tires are in need of replacing and i have aftermarket rims that are 16's. They currently have 225/50/16 on them and i am wanting something not as wide. I believe that i am getting to much traction and a not so wide tire would do better. I want to put 205/50/16 on the rims but i dont know alot about tires and if they would fit. So if anyone could help with my questions or have a suggestion would be helpful. Its for a 93 awd talon

1. My car is a:
a) 1g DSM

2. My wheel size is:
Diameter: 16
Width: 225
Offset: 50

3. My current or future suspension height will be lowered
stock

6. My driving style is:
c) Street and Strip.

7. I have searched for and read the FAQ's, Tech Articles, and threads on wheel and tire fitment:
a) Yes, but I just need someone with experience to validate my choices.

here are some pics of my rims that are on the car and the tire size. I plain on painting them flat black when i put on the new tires. If anyone is good with photoshop could you flat black my rims. The tires i plain on using are The Ventus HR II from hankook

Here are a few pics of my car and rims

Can you teach me the secret of to much traction? Ive never heard that as a complaint before.
Anyways what is the width of your rims in inches? If its the same as stock then yes the factory tire size is correct above and they should work fine.

The rim width is 8 inches the tire width is 9 inches. I think i just suck at launching the whole traction thing i just think i would be happier with a not side wide tire go back to stock as much as possible till i make real power later on.

ok i went and looked on the back of the rim underneath my car the rims are enkies 16x7
so i was wrong on the width with the tap measure

k thanks i am new to tires i went and had tires priced and they wanted 490 for 4 tires and install when i can go online and get them for 276 shipped and put them on myself.
