I'm surrounded by 'e85', so before switching over to that I want to make sure I'm on the right path.

Started with the stock evo timing table and worked from there. All was good until I started shifting during pulls. This caused tons of knock the second I got into the next gear. You can see all the timing pulled in my table because of this. Is this normal or does it suggest a mechanical issue? It did cure my knock but it seems odd to do such drastic adjustments to the table. The more I look around for logs to compare to, the more I realize people are reluctant to share their DA's. Rightfully so.

The setup is pretty laggy too. The cyclone IM locked to favor the upper RPMs isn't helping. I think the hotside is probably the biggest contributor to it. Turbonetics 60-1 with a ported bullseye mitsu housing [effing brick!]. The manifold is a hogged out Evo III GT. The exit of the manifold was about 8.5cm and the turbine is port matched to this. It's gotta be the biggest you can get while keeping it stock appearing.

I'm targeting 5750 for my boostest. The mafcomp is pretty close to done. I'm to the point now of doing a few pulls and comparing them before doing minor adjustments. That 1700hz blip needs to be adjusted next time out for sure.

93 octane only
BM 1250s
FIC Easytune
Virgin 399 MAF [very odd shaped intake pipe]
60-1
8.3:1
272s
A/W IC
Cyclone Manifold locked to favor upper RPM.
Lightly ported 1g head

2ndand3rd is a a few days older than 2ndgearpull. I pulled timing where it knocks in second and did some adjustments in mafcomp. Otherwise not much different.

Any thoughts or ideas is greatly appreciated.

to me it looks like your working off your min tmng table with max tmng zero out have you noticed at the end of the pull tmn is 8 deg you have max tmng at zero and min tmng is at 8

The ecu resets to the max table each time you turn it on. For a while there I would literally drive a mile then pull over somewhere to turn the car off while I picked through the log. I had no interest in touching the min tables.

I'm more curious about the timing in high RPM - low load. The top table is stock evo, the one below is what I have on my car. You can see where I pulled all the timing. Just curious if anyone has seen this or maybe it's an indication of something wrong on my setup.

I'm sure alot more people would see this if their knock sensor was active at 0% tps. However, I can tell you that when using NLTS (w/100% tps) I don't experience knock between shifts...That said, I'm not sure if you're experiencing true or phantom knock. Did it get better when you pulled timing?

EDIT: just read that it, in fact, did get better...hmm now I'm interested.

Perhaps you should give the stock 2g map a try...

How old is your knock sensor? If you have a 20 year old knock sensor you might want to consider replacing it. Also where do you have the knock sensor screwed in to the block? There are 2 places that it fits, one is at the bottom of cylinders #2 slightly to the right of it and the other is at the top of cylinder #3 slightly to the left of it. I have my at the top of the block by cylinder #3.
Looking at the timing tables you posted you shouldn't have to pull that much timing at those rpm and load points, that's part of the reason why your car seems laggy. Did you set your base timing to 5 degrees by grounding the wire to the ecu?
